Korea Quantum Computing Introduces PQC-Based Authentication Solutions at FIDO Alliance Korea Working Group Workshop

2025. 11. 14.

On November 14, Korea Quantum Computing (KQC) participated in the FIDO Alliance Korea Working Group (FKWG) Workshop, where FIDO Alliance members and industry experts gathered to share best practices in cybersecurity and authentication innovation, and to discuss the latest trends in passkey-based authentication technologies. At the event, KQC presented its post-quantum cryptography (PQC)–based HSM and authentication key solutions.

The FIDO Alliance (Fast IDentity Online) is an industry consortium dedicated to reducing reliance on passwords and standardizing secure, user-friendly authentication methods. Since launching the Korea FIDO Alliance Working Group in 2017, the organization has hosted regular workshops to discuss technology updates, real-world use cases, and policy developments.

During the workshop, Sangkeun Oh, Vice President of KQC, shared insights on building secure authentication environments using quantum-resistant cryptography. He emphasized the synergy between FIDO standards and PQC-based solutions, highlighting practical implementation strategies and enhanced security outcomes through the integration of HSMs and authentication key management.
