Korea Quantum Computing (KQC), a company specializing in quantum computing R&D, quantum security, and AI infrastructure operations announced that it has obtained the ISO/IEC 27001 certification, becoming the first company in Korea’s quantum computing industry to achieve this international standard for information security management systems.
Established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), ISO/IEC 27001 is the most widely recognized global standard for information security, requiring organizations to meet rigorous controls covering information security policy, risk management, access control, and cryptography.
The certification covers KQC’s core business areas, including AI-based technologies and AI GPUaaS, quantum computing algorithm development, post-quantum cryptography (PQC) design and implementation, as well as QxHSM and cryptographic key management infrastructure operations. It confirms that KQC manages its organization-wide operations under an integrated security framework aligned with international standards.
The achievement also demonstrates KQC’s Security by Design approach, embedding security from the early stages of advanced technology development. With this certification, KQC strengthens its ability to meet the security requirements of global customers and partners while supporting international business expansion and strategic collaborations.
John J.Y. Kim, CEO of KQC, said, “This certification marks an important milestone as the first of its kind in Korea’s quantum computing industry. KQC will continue to enhance its security capabilities through regular internal audits and management reviews while expanding global technology partnerships based on the reliability of our quantum and AI infrastructure services.”
